DEREK: consultant / salon owner

UK-trained with over 13 years experience in the industry, 9 of which were with an award-winning salon, Derek’s extensive experience allows him to consistently exceed clients’ expectations, and has led to his work being published photographically in British Hairdressing Journal and other UK and International magazines. Level IV Certification gives him the opportunity to fulfil a teaching role within the salon, a key aspect of the Miller and Green ideology and one which ensures a steady, structured development and diversification of all the team members in the salon. Derek’s passion and commitment are abundantly evident and combine to ensure his clients return time after time.

HAYLEE: designer

Haylee is a valuable addition to the team at Miller & Green, bringing with her 5 years of extensive training as well as a naturally keen eye for detail. Her passion and enthusiasm for cutting and colouring are exemplified in her classic cuts executed with a contemporary edge, but her styling skills are equally in demand for long hair styling for weddings or formal occasions.

VINA: senior stylist

With a strong interest in Fashion as well as an aptitude for long-hair dressing, Vina has finished her level 3 hairdressing and on completion of her in-house training will be a keen and valued addition to the salon team as a stylist. Her energy and enthusiasm are infectious, and her dedication to learning the nuances of the industry will serve her well in the transition to becoming a fully-fledged stylist.

RACHEL: manager / senior stylist

Drawing on expertise built up over many years in the industry, working alongside Australia’s most successful stylists, Rachel directs her formidable talents towards the Male Grooming and Men’s Fashion arena, providing astute advice and a well-developed aesthetic judgment for her clients. In counterpoint, Rachel’s passion for Bridal Hair Design allows her to employ a flair and dramatic creativity to match the control and understatement of Men’s Styling. Honing her skill sets in this spectrum has given Rachel the finesse and breadth of field to tackle industry competitions at the regional and national level, securing first place in her last two entries.

PAMELA: senior designer

With highly developed core skills in colouring, cutting and blowdrying, Pamela is adept at bringing a hairstyle to a new level and tailoring a cut expertly to suit individual styling, a knowledge base built up over more than 7 years in Hairdressing. Having qualifications in Makeup Artistry allows her to bring to bear an understanding of the finer points of fashion styling and a sensitivity to mode and structure that gives a boldness and contemporary edge to all her clients. Having managed a salon before and worked with major stylists in the Matrix Hair Shows, Pamela has extensive experience getting the best results for her clients.

CHANTELLE: apprentice

Coming from a background studying fashion design and textiles, Chantelle has a keen eye for style and contemporary fashion which has been further developed living in Melbourne over two years, whilst working in the clothing design sector. Her interest in High Fashion suggests a natural inclination towards Catwalk hair-styling and photoshoot based work, at which she shows exceeding promise. Her natural ability and proactive approach are an asset to the team.
